We are Studio Clarice Semerene. Our studio is focused on architecture and interior design, with residential and commercial projects in New York and Brazil. Our projects are born from a deep dive into the needs and identities of those who will inhabit the space. Our design method is collaborative, involving the client in the entire creative process. We design spaces and tell stories that enliven the senses, integrating and elevating the essences of its inhabitants. We seek to stimulate the sense of belonging and connection, balancing form, function and emotion.

ABOUT CLARICE SEMERENE

Clarice Semerene is a Brazilian architect living between New York and Brasilia, focusing on projects that range from hotels and restaurants to homes. She holds a Master’s degree in Interior Design from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy (2011) and a B.Arch from UniCeub, Brazil (2006).

Born and raised in Brasília, Brazil’s iconic modernist capital, Clarice has always thought of her hometown as an amusement park. From an early age, the city guided her gaze towards the lyricism expressed in the forms composed both by raw concrete and empty spaces, uncovering the welcoming beauty hidden behind the city’s seemingly impassive façades.

In 2011 Clarice founded the studio, where she develops a collaborative creative process in which each project is a sensitive and intimate response to the lives, brands and personalities of the clients.
